Bangarang

Bangarang, book 3 of my Sister Queens Sorority series has just been published and is available on Smashwords. I’ve been eager to get the first four books out before taking a break on the series. All seven of the books have been written. It’s just a long arduous editing process that is still to be done, now. But so far, this editing has taken a whole year to do and I think I will take a break before completing the last three. In the meantime, I’ll write some more short stories and work on another novel that still needs research and a plot outline.

I’ve written a description for Bangarang already, but since you’re reading the blog, I wanted to go into a bit more depth. Book 1, The Benefactors deals with all the beginnings of a couple taking on a polyamorous lifestyle that they adopt after some experiences and adventures with wife-sharing, gangbanging, and lots of multi-partner sex where the wife explores her sexuality. However, it all takes place in Las Vegas, away from the water.

Book 2, The VeeJay Voyages finally takes our Poly Family out on the water in a big ass catamaran boat… a luxurious Sunreef 80 sailing yacht. Most of this story takes place in The Bahamas and South Pacific Islands. it’s the beginning of the end for our adventures couple as their marriage begins to take a turn for the worse when the wife begins to see her dreams take a separate direction from her husband’s.

And now, in Book 3, Bangarang, the adventure gets solidified with sailing adventures hosting a cast of new characters. Now the stage is set for the core family members comprised of our protagonist, his 3 girlfriends, his Captain and crew, AND new friends who join them on their around the world sailing quest. Umit and Steady sail aboard SV Reunion. Tiny and her husband follow along aboard SV Providence. And Yaya and Remy come into the storyline aboard their very own 50-foot Leopard Catamaran sailing yacht, SV Bangarang, and they become major characters throughout this series, as you will see.

So all three books tie together but represent different eras of this series. You also learn some interesting facts about Petite and how The Solomon Islands come to play a major role in the series. We gain some characters and lose some. We watch others grow. Sometimes I look at the entirety of this series and it plays out like a pornographic soap opera on the high seas.

Let me know what you think about the series and I’d like to read your comments about Bangarang. Book 4, The Sorority will be out soon. I already have the cover art for it!

Character Profile: “Kitty”, from The Benefactors

Character Role:

Kitty is first introduced in Chapter 9 of “The Benefactors“, Book 1 of the Sister Queens Sorority series. She is between 26 and 29 years of age. She is also known as The Manager. She is Peruvian-American and is the first girlfriend in a polyamorous relationship with the main character and his wife. She is very smart and educated. Has two twin boys from a failed marriage.

She has thick jet-black wavy hair and she carries a little bubble-butt on wide hips which she’s always felt attracted black men. It tapers into a small waist but flared out again up top. Natural C’s with insanely puffy nipples. A skinny pear might actually be indicative of her shape being moderately more thick below than up top. She has a clitoris that is overly large. 34C-22-34

Background:

Daughter of a Peruvian university professor and an American tourist. She becomes pregnant with twins from her very first sexual encounter, however she was rejected immediately by her boyfriend. It was the father who gave him the ultimatum to marry or lose his inheritance in the family business. This just leads to an ever-growing resentment. After years of marriage, she finally files for divorce after she confronts her husband’s blatant infidelity and is awarded her share of the business she helped grow. She eventually meets the protagonist and his wife while working as a manager of the local erotic sex museum in Las Vegas where she is trying to learn about sex and discover her own sexuality.

Personality:

Kitty is a submissive at heart, but she also likes being a dom to VJ. She is totally devoted to My Love. Myers-Briggs Personality Test Assessment: Consul – ESFJ

Habits & Quirks:

Very nurturing to the main character. She has her hands on him anytime she is near him.

Conflicts:

Kitty struggles to understand her value in the household. She believes her marriage was destroyed because of her enlarged clitoris that her husband rejected, confusing it for a small penis, resulting in a depressive state of mind from body dysmorphia. She struggles with raising the twins and acquiesces to their father who maintains custody of them and trains them to get college football scholarships.

Author’s Take:

This is the first character that I felt would be the right choice to move my protagonist couple into the polyamory world. She fits well into their world as a submissive, relinquishing control of her life decisions but at the same time, discovering her sexual identity, overcoming her poor body self-image, and learning how to live in general. It’s a win-win-win situation for all three and gets even more interesting as the fourth member is subsequently added to the family. She probably goes through the most difficulties in character growth, but her longevity throughout the series reveals her weaknesses can be her strengths, too.

Newly Released: The VeeJay Voyages

The VeeJay Voyages,
an Erotic Adventure Novel
by Ellington Redd

Yes, it was time to let you see Book 2! I waited until I had a target download count for Book 1, The Benefactors, before releasing this title follow-up. The Benefactors takes place in Las Vegas. In The VeeJay Voyages, we get to the real crux of what this adventure series is all about, which is sailing.

This poly-fam purchases a new Sunreef 80 Catamaran and begin their adventure hiring a Skipper, a Deckhand, a Chef, and a Stewardess. All of these new characters become mainstays throughout the rest of the series, but in this volume they all learn to get along, grow, and survive harrowing adventures. More new and interesting characters are introduced as this family travel through The Bahamas, the Panama Canal, and into the South Pacific.

This is a drastic change from The Benefactors. We go from life on land to life at sea. However, the suspense, the sex, the drama, and the adventures get ramped up by a factor of 10. I think you’ll enjoy The VeeJay Voyages which is not as long as The Benefactors, but close. It’s still a meaty book to sink your teeth into and just as explicit, if not more.

ABOUT ELLINGTON REDD

Ellington Redd is my pseudonym for my erotic art literature. I’ve been writing short stories for some time and now I’ve elected to publish them. Even though I majored in Business, I took Human Sexuality coursework during my undergrad (mainly sociology) and graduate (mainly psychology) years in college. I continued independent studies with numerous other organizations and of course I had my own personal discoveries and experiences.

I have always been intrigued with sex, not only what people do, but more importantly why they developed their own unique sexual habits, interests, and proclivities. My stories are a culmination and derivative of the many studies and personal experiences that have shaped my own life and sexuality. I hope you enjoy my work.

Why I Write Erotic Fiction

Good Question. I can only speak for myself and all I can say is that it’s come easy to me. So why not. Whether or not it is good… I’ll let each of you be the judge of that. But let me tell you a little bit where it all came from.

I’ve always been a storyteller! I’ve dreamt of being that old dude sitting in the middle of a pack of grandkids telling true… maybe slightly embellished, stories about my life, travels, and adventures. But that vision grew into being a literary author one day. I read my favorite authors and developed ideas for my own stories. I had one once and was maybe 50 pages into a children’s story. I was a kid at the time, so what else did I know to write about? Unfortunately, my spiral notebook that I wrote in was lost and I had no heart to rewrite it.

As a young adult, I grew up in the age of Penthouse Letters when it was still being published and you could buy those little half-sized books at the local convenience store. Reading about other people’s erotic experiences, stories, and lifestyle intrigued me. Then I got into Anaïs Nin and became enthralled and captivated. I didn’t know of any other guys reading erotica. I kept that shit to myself! To me, it was educational. Unlike porn, I felt like I was learning something that wasn’t readily privy to me. I was learning to be creative and imaginative. I’ll probably do a blog post on the differences at some point.

I still desire to be a storyteller. I still plan to write mainstream books, as well. Erotica is something I can cut my teeth on. As a photographer, I’ve done art nude for quite some time. As a professional, I never got bored with my photo work that paid the bills. I’d do commercial, product, portraiture, and sometimes I’d shoot boring subject matter because it paid the bills. However, I never got burnt out, even to this day. Why? I always had my nude art to fall back on! It refreshed me and helped me stay in the game! I improved myself, but learning better techniques, learning more about the use of light, and I stayed in a constant state of educating myself. i also bought new gear all the time. A new camera does not a great photog, make. HOWEVER! I upgraded my gear or bought a new lens to do better nudes. And that same gear helped me do better with the shots that brought in the money!

I think I hold the same concept with erotic fiction. I write because it’s fun and I have a passion for it. But in turn, it keeps me from being burnt out when I write other things that bring in the money.

Greetings…

The first Blog post is always interesting. I write erotic fiction, but I try to be a good writer no matter what genre I put to page.

Who is my target audience?

Women read more erotica than men, but I get the feeling you’ll quickly get a taste for my style or you won’t and that’s okay. Pleasing everyone is a fool’s errand. So, I aim to just write what I feel I can relate to and be convincing with. I have FIVE short stories out right now, using Smashwords, as my primary ePublisher, but they still distribute to another broad range of eBook retailers.

What got me into this?

Good question. I’ve always been writing something and I started writing poetry, then short stories. As a veteran, I began to write erotica to send back home to my wife whenever I was deployed for extended periods of time. I never really did anything with it. It was just for us. At most, I would contemplate writing for Penthouse Forum. I enjoyed reading those stories.

However, all that evolved into a novel I’ve been working on for the last two years. I travel like a backpacking tourist around the world. If I like a place, I’ll stay for extended periods of time… anywhere from 3 to 6 months usually. I photograph artistic nudes and landscape over my travels. But one summer in Nicaragua, something began in me that sat me down for a minimum of 8 hours every single day. I wrote 6 or 7 short stories and realized they all fit as back to back chapters, despite not being an intentional or conscious effort.

I followed it through to see where it took me. Two years later and roughly 2500 pages, I concluded it. An suitable analogy would be Forrest Gump deciding to one day go for a run. Then on the other side of the country he stops and decides that’s enough. The story poured out of me until the tap was depleted. My next problem was publishing. I had no desire to hunt for a publisher and pray for their goodwill to publish and motivation to promote me. I needed to get onto my next story! I chose Smashwords over Kindle Direct for reasons I believe were right for me.

What is next?

I’ll continue to write erotic fiction! It’s fun, so why not? I can learn the Smashwords system to better sell, but I feel good about it. In a month, I’ve had almost 300 readers on my short stories, but I want to really develop my style before putting out my erotic adventure series due out soon. SEVEN books! I’ll talk more about it in the coming weeks. It’s explicit, but damn it… I have excellent plot and character development. This is a story that happens to include all things sex.

So get ready. I hope you enjoy this ride with me. Follow along. Check out my Smashwords profile and check out my current books. I’ll talk about them soon as well.
